Cambridge MAN

A state of the art communications backbone for the Cambridge business community

The Cambridge Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) is a dedicated communications platform built for the Cambridge business community and places the city at the forefront of digital technology. Since installation of the network in 2000, Redstone has laid over 45 kilometres (28 miles) of fibre across Cambridge providing the high bandwidth and quality of connectivity that businesses in the region demand.

The Cambridge MAN comprises a series of fibre rings which run around the city, all routing back to our point of presence on the Cambridge Business Park. Crossing the city from the Cambridge Business Park and the Science Park, running under the River Cam to Regent Street, Quayside and Castle Park and extending as far as Long Road on the south of the City, the Cambridge MAN provides a state-of-the-art communications backbone. We have also unbundled the three main exchanges within the city, enabling us to connect customers by copper, as well as fibre, to further extend the reach of the MAN.

We also offer a number of value-added communications and data services to our Cambridge MAN customers to complement their changing needs. Find out more about our managed services.
